Event Details

Marmen Quartet offers you a journey through time to the present and back again. They begin with a quartet from Schubert’s more mature output, the Quartettsatz in C minor, which shines for its sublime slow movement. Debussy’s first impressionist masterwork, the Quartet in G minor, then carries Marmen Quartet from the classical to the 20th century, before we arrive firmly in the 21st century with a commission from Salina Fisher.

The dial of time turns full circle to Mendelssohn’s final quartet, a neat juxtaposition of old and new from a young quartet embarking on an exciting international career.

Tickets apply to ages 18 years and over.

Children
Tickets apply to 5-17 years.

Concessions
Applies to Senior Citizens, Tertiary Students and the Unwaged. Suitable ID may be requested upon entry.

Student Rush
Tertiary Students $10.00 (plus fees) on the night of the performance only. ID is required.

Groups of 6
$216.00 (plus fees) when you book a group of six adults.

“5 for 40” School Groups
$40.00 (plus fees) when you book a school group of five (one teacher/adult and four children) on the night of the performance only.

Pre-Concert Talk
A free pre-concert talk will take place 45 minutes prior to the performance start time. These are a great way to discover more about the performance.

Wheelchair Seats
Please contact the ICC Ticketing Office to book your space.

Intermission
Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase.

Show Running Time
1 hour 35 minutes approx. (including intermission).

Door Sales
Doors open one hour prior to the performance start time for Box Office ticket sales (subject to availability).

Photography & Filming
Not permitted.

Pick-up Tickets
Internet or phone purchased pick-up tickets will be available for collection from the ICC Ticketing, 101 Esk Street, Invercargill, after 2.30pm the day following your purchase (on business working days). Any uncollected tickets, or tickets purchased for pick-up on the day of the event, can be collected from the venue in the hour before the event commences.
