Invercargill MP Sarah Dowie is happy the Bluff community has been heard after a proposal to downsize Bluff police numbers was changed today.
“It’s great the Police have decided to keep two full time front line officers in Bluff,” she said.
“While it was a police operational matter, I put a lot of time into liaising with the Police and the community board and the Police have listened,” she said.
“It’s a good result.”
“Law and order is a key platform of the National Government, and keeping frontline officers in Bluff is important to keep the community down there safe,” she said.
